Back End Developer (m/f/d) in Digital Solutions Lab

In the Digital Solution Lab, you will work in a diverse team of digital experts together with colleagues and customers on challenges around the topics of sustainability, circular economy, digital design and other exciting tasks of our digital transformation. We offer you the chance to develop your skills and change an entire industry with us.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You are responsible for the integration of frontend elements and the server-side application logi and you design and implement database solutions
  • You create program codes and libraries with a view to reusability
  • You optimize the application to achieve maximum speed and scalability
  • You also ensure that IT security and data protection are taken into account in the implementation
  • You program scalable software (e. g. microservices) that interact with the different platforms
  • You will also develop business process logic to support API usage and front-end development

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have a profound knowledge of the AWS cloud architecture
  • You have excellent knowledge of one or more backend programming languages such as Java, Python and a basic understanding of frontend technologies and platforms such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
  • A good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessing platformsa such as LESS and SASS complement your profile
  • You understand permissions and security policies and the differences between different deployment platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and can optimize output for the specific platform
  • A good understanding of versioning tools such as Git and Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) tools such as Jenkins or similar distinguishes you
